As mentioned in a separate post, in order to experience the many benefits of ashwagandha, I created a porridge recipe. It was inspired by this Magical Ashwagandha Drink recipe which I cut in half initially just to try it. Eventually I began using it as a base for what became my Booster Porridge. My adapted recipe makes 2 servings and is as follows:

Base Ingredients
1 cups organic unsweetened non-dairy milk
1 tsp organic ashwagandha powder
1 tsp organic maple syrup
cinnamon to taste

Porridge Ingredients
¼ cup of organic rolled oats
¼ cup of organic unsweetened coconut flakes
2 tbsp of raw sliced almonds
1 fresh organic apple cut in 1/2, sliced and cubed

Instructions
>Warm up the milk in a small sauce pan on a low heat. Don’t boil it
>Add the rest of the Base Ingredients and whisk until everything is combined
>Add all of the Porridge Ingredients except for the organic apple pieces
>Cook over medium heat until the porridge thickens slightly
>Using 2 bowls, divide the cubed apple pieces evenly across the bowls
>Pour half of the porridge over each bowl

My Recipe Notes
My favorite non-dairy milk for this recipe is organic unsweetened plain almond milk. I have also tried organic unsweetened plain coconut milk, organic oat milk, and sometimes a combination of whatever I have on hand. Be aware that oat milk has a tendency to be a bit sweet.

Experiment, make it your own, and enjoy!
