If you’ve read my Time Restricted Eating posts, you will have noticed that I’ve mentioned Coffee with MCT Oil. In this post, I am sharing my very simple recipe. You can choose to use a different fat, and some recipes I found online actually use a combination of fats. I prefer to keep things simple. If simple is good – all the better!

Here’s my recipe:
Coffee with MCT Oil
1 cup Hot Coffee brewed to taste
1/2 Tbsp *Organic MCT Oil (see NOTE)
*NOTE: When I first started experimenting with this recipe, I saw guidance to start with smaller amounts of MCT oil to avoid possible side effects. I initially started with 1 teaspoon and gradually increased to 1/2 Tbsp (equivalent to 1.5 teaspoons).
Instructions
Many recipes use a blender, but I like using my handheld milk frother – similar to this *PowerLix Milk Frother. Pour the hot coffee into a mug, and stir in the organic MCT oil. Insert the milk frother, and whisk the coffee and oil until foamy. Drink and enjoy while it’s hot!
I was pleasantly surprised at how satisfying this drink is. I don’t have it often, but I use it strategically when I need to stretch my fasting window. For the amount of coffee, I use 6 ounces vs 8, but that is perfect for my taste. 🙂 Obviously you do you! Try it and let me know in the comments what you think. 😉
